A Brief History
Crown Pointe Marina is a 235 slip marina located just minutes off the Chesapeake Bay on the York River in Historic Gloucester, Virginia. The marina was formerly operated as Cooks Landing Marina and is still carried on some chart books under its former name. The current owners are implementing a renovation that captures the property’s charm and fabulous location.
Improvements to the property include repair and upgrade of the site features, reconstruction of piers and slips, improvements to the pools and landscaping, extension of cable to the slips, high speed internet access in a business center on site, computerized inventory and scheduling systems for more efficient customer assistance, remerchandizing of the retail store, improved services for transient boaters, and general upgrading of facilities. Additional improvements such as the construction of dry storage and a larger travel-lift are planned for the future.

Crown Pointe Marina caters to both the sailor and powerboater. Enjoy easy one-day excursions to Broad Creek, Hampton, Norfolk and Cape Charles. Its well marked deep water access provides added assurance when returning or arriving at the docks. For the fisherman, the marina is only twenty minutes from the abundant waters off the Eastern Shore. It’s also close to the excellent fishing of the Hampton Roads and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnels. If you love to fish but don’t have a boat, take advantage of the many charter fishing trips available. There is also a convenient concrete boat ramp for day trips.
